AMPS (= Ancient Mesopotamian Priestly Scholasticism) is a five-year project funded by the ERC. In this project a team of scholars at different academic levels are studying various topics and cuneiform texts related to scholarship and ritual in the first millennium BCE. In the project we are especially interested on how scholarship and ritual interact, especially since the same people, Mesopotamian priests, often carried out both.
